STAIRCRAFT JOINERY
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following Terms & Conditions apply to ALL staircases and components.
1. Cleared payment in FULL will be required to place an order.
2. All items supplied remain the property of Staircraft Joinery until paid in full.
3. Please make all cheques payable to Staircraft Joinery.
4. All prices quoted are valid for 30 days from date of quote, all quotes are supply only, unless stated otherwise.
5. We will only correspond with the party named on the quote/estimate (this is our customer) and not any third parties.
6. Discounts given to trade customers are NOT transferable to the home owner or retail customer.
7. Excessive redesigning/alterations will incur extra charges.
8. One site visit is included in each quote/estimate, extra visits will be chargeable.
9. All closed staircases comprise of 22mm M.D.F treads and either 9mm M.D.F or 9mm ply risers.
10. All timber is European pine.
11. Balustrade (if quoted) consists of square 90mm posts & square spindles except plant-on, this consists of 70mm posts to be fixed externally. Balustrade (if quoted) is supplied loose/uncut for site fixing.
12. Landing/platform components, Beads, fascias, hardware, fixings or trims/skirting are NOT supplied with any staircase.
13. Delivery time is approx. 2-4 weeks from date of payment of order, hardwood or specialist components will take longer. Do not book Fitters/Carpenters until we have given a Delivery/Collection date.
14. As timber is a natural product some knots/defects/laminations are to be expected.
15. All timber is supplied sanded and will require finishing with vanish/primer etc.
16. The customer is responsible for checking all sizes on drawings supplied by Staircraft Joinery & confirm that they are correct/suitable, as alterations cannot be made after manufacturing has commenced. Dimensions on our drawings DO NOT include tolerances, insulation or plasterboard.
17. It is the customers responsibility to obtain local authority consent regarding their installation.
18. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the staircase and all its components have been correctly assembled & securely fixed by competent persons.
19. Any missing components must be reported to Staircraft Joinery at the time of delivery/collection.
20. All items are our stock patterns unless stated otherwise.
21. If any faults/errors are found with the product, the customer should notify Staircraft Joinery before/during installation as we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or costs incurred.
22. Fitting (when quoted) is limited to the staircase & components supplied by Staircraft Joinery & does not include any making good such as beads, skirting, cloaking, cupboards, or plaster work.
23. We reserve the right to decline any work/order.
24. Any modifications or alterations that differ from submitted drawings must be supplied in writing/drawings prior to construction of staircases.
25. For quotation, drawings supplied by customers are assumed to be accurate and correct.
26. Please note that quotes will be exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
